Microsoft: Windows Mobile 7 will be shown in February

Windows Mobile 7 is still worth waiting at Mobile World Congress in February. Microsoft's chief financial officer Peter Klein told today. The conference, devoted to summarizing the past quarter, announced that the MWC will show a new version of the operating system Windows Mobile. Obviously, we are talking about WM 7, although there is evidence that there is another minor update - Windows Mobile 6.5.3 or 6.6, with a little more comfortable for finger control, but without any critical changes in major components of the OS.

In addition, next month Microsoft will hold a briefing and a conference with financial experts – on 15 and 22 February respectively. As the topics for both events are about the operating system Windows Mobile. However, no details about what exactly to be discussed. It is hoped that at least one of the meetings will be on Windows Mobile 7, at the same show.

Fring for iPhone now supports VoIP over 3G

Almost as soon as Apple allowed third-party developers of applications for the iPhone implement VoIP over 3G, the creators of the popular instant messaging client Fring has introduced the possibility of making calls through this application. Now it is possible to use voice or video calls through 3G for all users of Fring on iPhone. More over, the ability to use Wi-Fi is also persevered.

If you want to use this feature, just download the newest version of Fring for iPhone, nohing else to do. Simply start Fring and enjoy. If the user still gets the message "VoIP calls are not allowed", simply close the program (menu "More" -> "Go offline"), then restart it. Also, developers of Fring advised that some mobile operator does not allow (or prohibit the use of) VoIP within their networks. You can find the newest version of Fring for your mobile device here
