The new models of Thinkpad series: Thinkpad Edge

The business series of Lenovo ThinkPad has been replenished with new models under the name ThinkPad Edge. The displays are 13, 14 and 15 inches and designed specifically for small and medium businesses. The 13-inch model - the first notebook from the series of ThinkPad, is equipped with AMD dual-core processors technology that supports AMD VISION Pro. In addition to high performance and reliability  of the  traditional Thinkpad series, The Edge series is also redesigned with a new look and a new ergonomic keyboard. ThinkPad Edge can be purchased in bright red or black color.

 

Edge Series models are equipped with proprietary "waterproof" buttons and the “Active Protection System” to protect the hard disk drive. The series is also supplied with a set of programs and solutions, like ThinkVantage System Recovery Rescue and Recovery. The ThinkPad Edge’s keyboard gives a modern look to the notebooks. The keys are black, and a number of functional buttons are responsible for managing the hardware and multimedia functions. You can press a button to change the volume or brightness of the screen. Virtually unused buttons, such as the SysRq, were removed. In addition, for models with a screen of 14 and 15 inches, backlit keyboards are available as an optional for comfortable work in low light. Large touchpad technology that supports Multi-Touch will allow you to manage programs, browse the web and zoom documents.
